If you're using Internet Explorer...
Check for a light yellow bar below your browser controls.  This is called the information bar.  It's a security feature that Microsoft put in place to protect computers from scripts that might harm them.  Unfortunately, it's not always smart enough to tell the difference between potentially harmful scripts and harmless ones like our polling script.  To take the poll click the information bar where indicated and select "Allow Blocked Content".

You might also want to consider changing your browsers's security settings to something less restrictive.  To do so, open Internet explorer, select Tools/Internet options, and click the "Security" tab at the top of the window.

If you're using AOL or another ISP...
Services like AOL actually use the Internet Explorer engine to reach the Internet, and also offer their own pop-up blockers.   In addition to potentially having to deal with the information bar (see above) you may also need to set the pop-up blocker to allow pop-ups from this site.  Use the online help feature or contact their Technical Support Department for assistance if necessary.

If you're using a third-party browser (like Opera or Mozilla Firefox)...
The problem may still be caused by a pop-up blocker or a "black list".  To access the poll, make sure that popups from this site are allowed, and that you haven't accidentally added it to a black list.

If you've installed a third-party popup-blocker...
Set it to allow popups from this site.

If you're using a Mac or running Linux or another "non standard" operating system...
You're know more about it than we do, so you're on your own!
