Eastern States Paranormal was founded in 2005 by Jim Dodge and Stacey Carter, as an outgrowth of their interest in and experience with the paranormal.
Both are curious by nature, and have backgrounds that include science, technology, training and project management. In addition, Stacey has demonstrated an innate ability to sense where and when paranormal activity is occurring, while Jim is quite psychically attuned, with a successful history of mediumship and locating lost objects. It's been suggested that these factors have contributed to the success of ESP's ghost hunting excursions, which have almost always resulted in some type of paranormal encounter.
When the networks began airing programs like "Ghost Hunters", and "Most Haunted" interest in the paranormal seemed to skyrocket. Soon Jim and Stacey began hearing from people who had learned of them from others, and it became apparent that a better way to communicate was needed. In 2006 this web site was created as a way to provide information and education about the paranormal, and to make ESP's existence known to those who might benefit from our services. In 2007 Eastern States Paranormal, Inc. was chartered as a non-profit corporation.
