Take me to the Home Page
Eastern States Paranormal was founded in Virginia in 2005 by Stacey Carter and Jim Dodge, as an outgrowth of their interest in and experience with the paranormal.

Both are curious by nature, and have backgrounds that include science, technology and project management.  In addition, Stacey has demonstrated an innate ability to sense when  and where paranormal activity is occurring, while Jim is quite psychically attuned, with a successful history of mediumship and locating lost objects.  It's been suggested that these factors have contributed to the success of both ESP's ghost hunting excursions and its paranormal investigations.

After starting ESP many of Jim's and Stacey's friends and acquaintances began asking them about their experiences.  Although it took a bit of time and effort to keep them informed, initially it was a manageable process.

When paranormal TV programs like "Ghost Hunters", and "Most Haunted" became popular, interest in the paranormal seemed to skyrocket.  Soon Jim and Stacey began hearing from people who had learned of them from others, and it became apparent that a better way to communicate was needed.

In 2006 we decided to create a web site to serve multiple purposes.  It would be an easier way keep  people updated, make ESP's existence known to those who might benefit from our services and provide information and education about the paranormal.

2007 was an important year for ESP.   In January we launched this web site, and later in the year ESP relocated to historic Harpers Ferry, WV; an area known for paranormal activity.  2007 was also the year that Eastern States Paranormal Inc. was chartered as a non-profit corporation.

In addition to the maintaining this site, ESP offers telephone consultations and on-site paranormal investigations. Free to contact us if you have questions, stories or experiences to share, or if you suspect that you might be experiencing paranormal activity.
